Flow-Control-Gate

IBAU FLOW CONTROL GATE - Dosing of pulverized bulk goods

Flow control gates are used for shutting off the discharge spouts of silos and for the controlled discharge of pulverized bulk goods such as cement, lime, gypsum and fly ash. IBAU flow control gates ensure an unrestricted flow-through. Thanks to the design without step, there is no danger of small lumps being stopped, thus causing the through-put to decrease. The picture shows a standard discharge spout containing hand actuated cut-off gate, motor actuated IBAU flow control gate, flex copensator and fluidslide.

Simplex-Loader01

IBAU SIMPLEX LOADER

for fine granular bulkgoods like cement and lime, also flyash and alumina are a proved and well accepted aggregate for quick and dustfree loading of raod and rail tankers. Fluidslides are used to convey the bulkgoods which are to be loaded. Using the advantages of the fluidslides for this purpose means: high throughput, low energy consumption and practically no noise.

As is suggested by the name they are of a simple design and easy to handle. They do not require much maintenance. One of the special features is the small space requirement. This is very advantageous, when using modern drive through dispatch silos. Long travelling ways are possible without touching or penetrating the silowall.

The IBAU SIMPLEX LOADER can also be equipped with an IBAU Positioner for automatically controlled bulk loading. This saves valuable time and protects the equipment against unintentional damage.

Bulk-Loading-Chute

IBAU BULK LOADING CHUTE
are in operation in all continents for quick an dustfree loading of pulverulent bulkgoods like cement, lime, flyash, alumina, pulverized coal etc.

The throughput is generally controlled by a pneumatic feeder with IBAU FLOW CONTROL GATE. The loading procedure works as described. After opening the cover of the tanktruck, positioning of the chute and lowering it on the filling socket, the heavy cone will open both the conveying way and the dedusting way between inner telescopic chute and outer flexible bellow. The bulkgood enters the tank through the telescopic chute while the dustladen air is withdrawn by a dustcollector with fan. An adjustable pneum. High level indicator gives a stop signal.

The chute will be raised and shuts first the conveying way and than the dedusting way. A slack rope switch makes sure that chute will remain on the filling socket when lowered because of increasing truckweight.

Air-Lift

IBAU Air-Lift for silo charging

are the real pack horses for the simple and dustfree pneumatic vertical transport. They do their duty without lamentation for many years. They do not ask for much maintenance as they have no machanical parts in the conveying way which have to be maintained. A rotary piston blower supplying the conveying air does not require much maintenance as well. (Air intake filter and charging of gear oil).

Parts of an Air-Lift system are: The cylindrical Air-Lift body with fluidizing bottom, the vertical nozzle and conveying pipe, a seperator (when not charging directly a heat exchanger or a small silo). At hte end of the conveying way a dustfilter or the connection is neccessary A rotary piston blower or a group of blowers suplly the neccessary oilfree conveying air. A column of conveying good forms the air lock against atmospheric pressure; with other words the higher to convey the higher the Air-Lift body.

Vertical-Screw-Conveyer

IBAU VERTICAL SCREW CONVEYOR

facilitate the transport of great quatities bulk goods even over great conveying heights. This is achieved by using low-wear intermediate metal carbide bearings that are additionally connected to a lubrication unit. They can be replaced easily via the inspection holes specifically designed fot this purpose. The conveying capacities range from 50 m3/h with type IB VS 200 up to 800 m3/h with IB VS 500. The maximum conveying height is 45 m.

IBAU Vertical screw conveyors do not require any direct dedusting facilities. Further advantages are the easy installation and the low space requirements.

The inlet box can be adapted to many different kinds of charging. Optionally, IBAU vertical screw conveyors can be supplied with a rotary speed control and a filling level control at the inlet box.

Jet-Conveyer

JET CONVEYOR

They are simply simple and dependable. They are in operation on all continents in powerstations, aluminium works, cement factories and other works, where small quatities of abrasive, powdery goods have to be conveyed in a simple and dependable way over short distances.

The IBAU JET CONVEYOR does not contain any moving parts, which are subject to wear and is free of maintenance. The possible wear is reduced to the diffusor, which is made of wear resistant casted basalt. No metered feed to the Jet Conveyor is required and plugging of the Jet Conveyor is required and plugging of the conveying line due to overfeed is not possible. The necessary conveying air generally is compressed by a rotary piston blower.

 Rotary-Feeder

The IBAU ROTARY FEEDER

is not just another rotary feeder. It sure is different. When looking at the cut away drawing you can see the difference. Slots are cut into the heavy rotor for the strong, reinforced and flexible blades. These flexible blades bend a little, when discharging and dosing conveying good. When reaching the lower part of the feederbody, the blades will return into the normal position. There is a bar crossing the discharge opening.

Each blade passing this bar will be bent slightly and spring back. Conveying good which still is sticking at the blades will be thrown off. Simple maintenance: If necessary the wear resistant blades can be exchanged comparativily easy, without to remove the feeder. After closing the cut off gate above the feeder, a little cover plate as a part of the sideplate has to be removed. With the aid of an appliance the blades can be exchanged.

Bottom-Discharger

THE SEGMENT TYPE BOTTOM DISCHARGER

Similar to the segment type inside discharger this element of air slide equipment uses the same principle for changing the direction of flow.

The drawing demonstrates this simple principle. It is selfexplanatory and does not need many words to make it clear. When conveying straight, the conveying good flows over the permanently aerated bottom (part of the segment). When conveying downwards, the segment is put into the bottom free position. As can be seen all aerated parts of the discharger are protected against wear by perforated sheetsteel. Incrustations and little foreign bodies cannot cause inclompete closing of the closed way. Actuator and control equipment are as proved good in IBAU FLOW CONTROL GATES.

Side-Discharger

THE SEGMENT TYPE SIDE DISCHARGER

Engineers and operators have been waiting for this element of air slide conveying equipment. The cut away drawing shows the principle and convinces by the first sight. Side dischargers and branching elements are necessary elements of air slide conveying systems. Even the best flap type side dischargers available up to now are often tight only in the beginning of operation. Incrustations and foreign bodies can make them leaky and cause trouble.

The IBAU SEGMENT TYPE SIDE DISCHARGER is different and tight like an IBAU FLOW CONTROL GATE. Many items are the same as used in the flow control gate. The bottom is aerated permanently. The maintenance is reduced to the very minimum.

 Two-Way-Valve

IBAU TWO WAY VALVE

Pneumatic conveying systems for pulverulent bulk goods like cement, rawmeal, lime, flyash etc. often have to charge several silos one after the other. For many years and worldwide IBAU Two Way Valves have been used for changing the direction of flow in pneumatic conveying lines. The principle of these valves is simple and well known. A cast iron housing has one entrance socket and two discharge spouts. One of the discharge spouts is always closed by a disc while the other one is opened for the selected way. The valve disc is spring loaded and can be switched either manually or by a pneumatic piston actuator or by an el. motoric actuator. A torque motor with gear and brake forms the el. mot. actuator. This is to make sure thatthe final position is correct. Of course all remotely controlled valves are equipped with limit switches. Two way valves without actuator can have limit switches as an option. Limit switches can be of the conventional type as well as of the proximity switch type.

Klumpen-Zerkleinerer1

LUMP CRUSHER - a silo discharge aid

More than 1000 Lump Crushers are installed in cement silo plants.

Cement which is stored in silos sometimes tends to conglobate especially in silos which have only central or lateral discharge spout or in silos which are located in humid climates.

Occasionally parts of the agglomerated cement move with fresh cement - which flows easily - towards the discharge spout. At this bottle neck these lumps plug up the discharge aperture causing discharge trouble. The cement flow is reduced or comes to a full stop.
